On the day of Delhi Assembly Elections 2025, schools and colleges will remain closed on National Capital. It has been announced that schools and colleges and other educational institutes will observe holiday. One must know that the Delhi elections will be held in a single phase, the results will be declared on February 8. Educational institutions serving as polling booths were closed a day prior to the election, in accordance with customary practices.
In line with Delhi Assembly Elections 2025 polling today, The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) has already confirmed that all central government offices, including industrial establishments in Delhi, will be closed. This comes with a vision that the employees must exercise their democratic right to vote. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) plans to start services early at 4 am on election day to help voters commute.
The Haryana government has declared a paid holiday on February 5 for public office employees. Along with them, schools and colleges staff will also observe holiday today to in the Delhi Assembly Elections. This holiday also extends to factory workers, shop employees, and private business workers in Haryana who are registered voters in Delhi, enabling them to cast their votes.
