The deceased was a driver from Upper Indiranagar, Bibwewadi, Pune. His symptoms began on January 31, when he started experiencing weakness. Initially, he was admitted to Bharati Hospital, Pune. However, his family shifted him to Nipani for treatment on February 1, where his condition failed to improve.
GBS Cases Continue to Rise in Pune & Maharashtra According to the latest health department report, Pune has recorded the highest number of GBS cases in the state. Despite the growing numbers, 91 patients have recovered and been discharged so far, according to the health department.
As his health deteriorated, he was transferred to Bharati Hospital, Sangli but showed further decline. Eventually, on February 5, he was admitted to Kamla Nehru Hospital in Pune, where he died during treatment on February 9, according to the State Health Department.
