Delhi Police Issues Traffic Advisory Ahead Of JD Vance’s Arrival, Check Routes To Avoid Here

United States Vice President JD Vance is expected to land at Air Force Station, Palam in New Delhi around 9:30 am (IST) today as part of his first four-day official visit to India. Earlier on Sunday, Vance and his family were seen boarding the Air Force Two aircraft at Rome Ciampino Airport. According to the White House Press Pool, Vance is set to formally meet with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at 6:30 pm at his residence.

After his meeting with Prime Minister Modi in Delhi, the US Vice President will head to Jaipur on Tuesday, followed by a visit to Agra on April 23. His India visit will wrap up with his departure at 6:40 am on Thursday, April 24. In view of his Delhi visit today, the city’s traffic police have issued an advisory for different times of the day, citing a “special event” in the national capital. Delhi Traffic Police announced that on Monday between 9 am and 11 am, parking will be strictly prohibited on Sardar Patel Marg, Gurugram Road, Parade Road, Thimmaiya Marg, Air Force Road, and nearby areas.

Commuters are advised to steer clear of these routes. Any vehicles found parked improperly in these zones will be towed and relocated to the traffic pit near Kalibari Mandir Marg, in front of Bhairon Temple. Evening restrictions will resume on Sardar Patel Marg, Kamal Ataturk Road and adjoining areas. Once again, commuters are advised to use alternate routes such as Vande Mataram Marg and Rao Tula Ram Marg to avoid congestion. Throughout the day, Delhi Police has urged residents and commuters to opt for public transportation wherever possible and to allow extra travel time, especially if heading toward railway stations, ISBTs or airports.
