Bangalore Weather: Heavy Rain Set To Drench City, Disrupts Flight Ops

Bengaluru rain is set to soak residents on Wednesday. As per the IMD, the maximum temperature will be 33 degrees Celsius. Owing to the bad weather, several flights will be delayed.Weather in Bengaluru has brought a much-awaited relief to people dealing with scorching heat on Wednesday. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the city is set to face more rain on Thursday, April 17. However, the intense rainfall in the city led to traffic disruption on road as well as on air. Due to bad weather, several flights faced disruption on Wednesday late night due to poor weather conditions.

From April 16-19, the weather is expected to be predominantly cloudy with light rain. On April 16, the sky will be partly cloudy with one or two spells of rain or thundershowers. For the next three days — April 17, 18, and 19 — generally cloudy skies accompanied by light rain are forecast. Bengaluru Flight Delayed Meanwhile, stranded passengers had to wait long hours at the airport. Following that, many of them took to social media platforms to complain about the delay. Commuters alleged that there was no assistance of food or anything from the respective airlines or the airport while they were asked to wait before the flight operations resumed.
A passenger of IndiGo flight posted several tweets regarding the flight delay. said, “IndiGo6E Still waiting for flight 6E-451 from Bengaluru to Lucknow. Scheduled at 4:15 PM, now delayed to 7:25 PM and counting. No clear updates, no refreshments, and no alternate arrangements.” To which, the airline reacted by saying, “Hi, we sincerely regret the delay and all the inconvenience caused. The flight was delayed due to the consequential impact of bad weather in Bangalore, which is beyond our control. Hoping to serve you better.”
