Traffic movement has been restricted on several roads in the city due to the white topping work being carried out in the city. The work has severely impacted the traffic flow at the BTM Layout 29th main junction. The Bengaluru Traffic Police have also issued a traffic advisory in this regards and asked the commuters to prefer alternative routes.
Taking to X, the Bengaluru Traffic Police said, “From 17.01.2025, Vehicles coming from Silk Board Junction via Outer Ring Road will be allowed to take free left turn at Jayadeva Junction towards Bannerghatta Main Road. Vehicles coming from Vega City Mall Junction on Bannerghatta Road towards Jayadeva Junction can take free left tum to join outer ring road towards Banashankari via service road of Jayadeva Junction. This will be the alternative route for 29th Main Junction, which is closed due to ongoing white topping work.”
Bengaluru: Traffic restrictions
- All types of vehicles are restricted from BTM 29th Main Junction on Outer Ring Road up to Ruby-2 Junction on Bannerghatta Main Road.
- The center median in front of Gopalan Mall will remain closed.
- Due to the white topping work of about 270 m length from M.C. Circle Underpass in Vijayanagar to P & T Junction (Hosahalli Metro) on West of Cord Road (WOC), vehicular traffic has been restricted on this road from 10:00 PM in the interest of the public and vehicle riders.
- All types of vehicles have been restricted from A.S.C. College Rajajinagar Junction to P & T Junction (from Rajajinagar side towards Vijayanagar) on West of Cord Road.
ALTRENATIVE ROUTES
- Vehicles moving from Silk Board Junction on Outer Ring Road towards Jayadeva Junction may proceed directly through BTM 16th Main Junction and take a free left turn to reach Bannerghatta Main Road as an alternative to the road which is closed due to white topping work at 29th Main Road, Outer Ring Road Junction.
- Vehicles moving from Vega City Mall Junction on Bannerghatta Main Road towards Jayadeva Junction may take service road of Jayadeva Fly Over at Sai ram Junction to reach Outer Ring Road and move towards Banashankari.
- At Sai ram junction on Bannerghatta road center median is closed. However, center median at Shilpakala Junction is opened and vehicles can take U turn or proceed ahead.
- All vehicles moving towards Vijayanagar, Chandra Layout, Mysore Road via West of Cord Road can proceed to the service road at the West of Cord Road ACC College (Rajajinagar) junction, then proceed through M.C. Circle (Magadi Road Tollgate Circle) via the service road up to P & T Junction and then rejoin West of Cord Road.
