IMD has predicted severe cold wave conditions in a few northern states on December 28. A cold day warning has been issued for Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh today.

IMD Weather Update: Heavy rain accompanied by lightning and thunderstorms is expected to continue to batter parts of North India in the coming days. The affected places include Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh, and East Rajasthan.

Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department has predicted isolated to scattered rainfall with thunderstorms, lightning & gusty winds over East Uttar Pradesh, West Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, interior Maharashtra, and Gujarat on December 28.
