Bengaluru and surrounding districts will face power outages on November 27 and 28, 2024, due to scheduled maintenance and repair work by the Bengaluru Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM). The outages will affect several areas within the city and nearby rural regions.
In West Bengaluru, particularly the Rajajinagara area, there will be a power cut from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM. The outage is due to preventive maintenance, tree trimming, and the replacement of damaged components in the RMU. Affected areas include Mc Layout and the Industrial Area. Ramanagara district will also face a power disruption between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM. Areas such as Thirumalegowdanadoddi, Kanchidoddi, Nijiyappanadoddi, Adhishakthihalli, and Channegowdanadoddi will be impacted due to jungle clearing and Grid Operation System (GOS) maintenance work.
Ramanagara district will also face a power disruption between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM. Areas such as Thirumalegowdanadoddi, Kanchidoddi, Nijiyappanadoddi, Adhishakthihalli, and Channegowdanadoddi will be impacted due to jungle clearing and Grid Operation System (GOS) maintenance work.
Parts of Kolar and Chikkaballapura districts will experience a power outage from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, caused by the installation of additional service connections for domestic lighting under the O&M-2 section in Bagepalli. Affected areas include Madlakhana, Marasanapalli, Doranalapalli, and Brahmanahalli.
