Traffic Diversions In Bhopal Amid VIP Wedding; Check Road Closures, Alternate Routes Here

A VIP wedding in Bhopal on Friday will cause traffic diversions. Bhopal Traffic Police advises alternative routes to avoid congestion

VIP movement in Bhopal is expected to increase on Friday due to a high-profile wedding, with several prominent figures, including Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, attending the event. To manage the increased traffic, Bhopal Traffic Police has implemented a special traffic plan, which will involve diversions on several major routes.

Vice President Dhankhar is scheduled to arrive at the State Hangar (old airport) by special flight at 6:30pm. From there, he will travel to Sagar Green on Kolar Road, passing through VIP Road, Polytechnic Square, Smart City Road, Depot Square, Bhadbhada Square, Suraj Nagar Tiraha, and Sakshi Dhaba Tiraha. He will then proceed to attend the wedding at Bana Green Garden, Neelbad, on Ratibad Road.

Bhopal Traffic Police has advised drivers to use alternative routes during the VIP movement. Vehicles traveling from Gandhinagar towards the airport can take Asharam Square, Karod, and the Bypass. Vehicles from Polytechnic Square heading towards VIP Road can opt for Moti Masjid, Sadar Manzil, Collectorate, and Lalghati Overbridge. Additionally, vehicles traveling from Roshanpura and Depot Square towards Polytechnic Square can take routes via Gandhi Park, Old Police Control Room Tiraha, Talaiya Police Station Tiraha, Bharat Talkies Square, and Hamidia Road. Roads such as Banganga, Old Fish House, and Khatlapura may be closed temporarily.

Residents coming from Sehore Road, Bilkisganj, and Ratibad, who are not attending the wedding, can reach Bhopal through Neelbad Square, Mughalia Chhap, Khajuri Road, and Bairagarh. Separate parking arrangements have been made for those attending the wedding. After the event, vehicles will be directed towards Bhopal via Villa Bong School, Goregaon, and Suraj Nagar. The Sakshi Dhaba route will remain closed for return traffic.

Bhopal Traffic Police has urged citizens to plan their travel in advance and consider the traffic plan, using alternative routes whenever possible. Drivers are advised to follow the police guidelines to avoid any inconvenience during VIP movement.
